The Brown Family

Meet the Brown family- quite possibly the nicest family you will ever meet! Dave and I were lucky enough to really get to know them in a dinner group, and I have admired both Kristi and Jared ever since! I think I am the first to photograph their new little family, and it is truly an honor. Jared and Kristi are the most wonderful parents, and it was so touching to see this family interract!

The Fort Family

Anyone recognize this darling little gal? Carsyn is back on the blog, along with her parents this time! I got to shoot this fantastic family at a last minute location change to the railroad tracks- quickly becoming my favorite place to shoot. But really, let's be honest, I could have put this family in front a trash heap- and they STILL would look GREAT!! Dad had to be bribed with numerous treats to put a smile on his face, because apparently pictures, and smiling in pictures, aren't two of his favorite things- thanks for smiling Dave!! That being said, I present- THE FORTS!

NEDRA AND MATT!!!

What happens when one of my dearest of dear friends gets engaged and asks me to take some pictures? Several things--including, but not limited to:
1. Major freak out- I'M NOT WORTHY!
2. Fall head-over-heels for their sweet romance!
3. Ask once for them to start kissing. Have to ask several times for them to stop before they even hear me, then several more times before they actually do it.
4. Climb up and down a 4 FOOT LADDER for pretty much every picture! (I am 5'4 AND A HALF!!! but that "half" doesn't do me much good when the couple are 5'11 and 6'6 respectively!) 5. Find it absolutely impossible to narrow the field down to 10 or less pictures, and feel it is totally my right as friend/photographer to put 15 on my blog!

I could go on and on about how much this photo shoot meant to me. I got to really know Matt, and I couldn't like him more...(unless I was Nedra of course!) He has all the love, spunk, smarts, whit, love of life and sillyness that Nedra deserves. To be honest, I was prepared to be disappointed, because I didn't think anyone could live up to the pedestal that Nedra stands on in my eyes, but Matt rose to the occasion and surpassed it by a mile! BRAVO! I love you guys!!

Did I mention they like to kiss? A lot? You might notice...

Brennen Boy!

Remember this sweet little guy?
Photobucket

Well he's now this big fella and still cute as can be! My nephew Brennen had his 6 month pictures today, and boy is he a sweetie. He is such a good baby, and can you tell he loves his Momma? Every one of those smiles is directed at her!!! He doesn't sit up yet, so we had to get a little creative to prop him up!

HOLY BIG ONE!

This past weekend I got to shoot a great (AND GREAT BIG!!) Family! We went to a new location- squak peak, and I think we got the desired look- Arizona landscape! The family was having a reunion, and some were seeing each other for the first time in 3 years! It was fun to meet this family and document some of their time together!

First, the WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLE FAMILY!

For Jen

Today I got to shoot the family of a good friend, and fellow photographer. I have read on many other blogs that shooting a photographers family is a little nerve wracking...and its true! We went to a beautiful new (to me) location, and I really got to push myself in some new areas of shooting. This good looking family was a camera pleaser...despite heavy wind, wrong light timing, and a toddler with a mind of her own (I think that goes without saying with the word "toddler" right?) Well Jen, I hope you are pleased, and I look forward to our upcoming photos as well!
